The First Exploratio Lilo Race will be held on Saturday 26 Nov at Bronkies to end off the year.

We are meeting at the Climbing Wall at LC de Villiers at 7:30am to depart for Bronkies.

Anyone welcome! Not just Explo members.

You are only allowed a Lilo or Tube or a corresponding floatation device. No kayaks or canoes.

Bonus points (head start) for dressing up. My Lilo is getting some serious flames!

Bring a braaier, your cozzie and climbing gear.

The BANFF Mountain Film Festival is a collection of films about Mountain culture and adventure.

Screenings are at Ster Kinekor in Brooklyn Shopping Centre at 20h15 from 28 Oct to 3 Nov.

The Everest Challenge is a 24-hour Climbing Festival/Challenge where teams of 12 compete to climb the full height of Mt. Everest (8848m) within 24 hours. Exploratio will again host the Everest Challenge this year.

The event starts on Saturday Oct 1 at 12am at the Tuks Climbing Wall on LC de Villiers and ends 24 hours later. Teams are expected to be ready 11am for the briefing. Teams should bring their own climbing equipment, except for ropes. You can find the General Information and Rules and Scoring document HERE.

This is an annual rock climbing endurance event that involves a team of two, climbing one hard route on the first day, then racing between the cliff faces around Waterval Boven and doing as many climbs as you can in 8 hours on the second day.

Its only R250 pp for a student/MCSA member. R300 otherwise. It includes your T-shirt, 2 suppers and breakfast rolls on Saturday.
