Jaco Fourie passed away

On Sunday our good friend Jaco Fourie and fellow adventurer passed away.

It's sad to think that he wont be missioning with us anymore, but we'll always remember his willingness and drive do what he wanted when he wanted.
He has always made time for anyone and we are forever grateful for knowing him this short while.
Our thoughts go out to all his family and friends.

The funeral is Friday 10 December at Doxa Deo Kameeldrift at 10h00.

MCSA Supertramp Award 2011

The MCSA has a Supertramp Award they award each year to someone under/at the age of 25 who organises the craziest, narliest or farthest expedition. It is a cash prize of up to R15 000. The deadline for applications is 5 Jan 2011.

Exploratio Everest Challenge 2010 - The Big One

The Ultimate 24-hour climbing marathon/festival

Each team has 24 hours to climb the full height of Mt. Everest (8848m).
The entry fee is R500 per team of 12 climbers.

Date: From 3pm 16 Oct to 3pm on 17 Oct

There will be lots of vendors selling climbing gear, food and drinks.
Braais, ablutions and camping spots wll be available.

There will be swimming pools, great music and an awesome vibe going for those who aren't climbing.
