Assessment Training Manual

This is the training manual for the required Exploratio assessment.

Members who have passed the Assessment are allowed to climb at the Wall outside of club nights during the hours indicated on the Facilities and Gear page on this website. Assessed members are also allowed to use the club's gear by booking it out from a Committee member. More info regarding the gear is found on the Facilities and Gear page.

This is not a qualification. An assessed member will not receive any certificates, badges or gold stars. You will receive a card which indicates that you are assessed. This card must be presented when booking out gear from a Committee member.

The office has some study space for a couple of people. Theres couches, a bean bag, a TV with a playstation. Come chill out between classes.

There's also a coffee stand for everyone. Bring your own mug and leave it there for next time.

Come look through 54 years worth of journals, articles and photos of Explo history.

  • When you enter the University grounds at the Prospect street entrance via the turnstiles, immediately look to your left and you'll see a small building called "Ou Kantoortjie". You'll see an Explo poster in the window.
  • Walk around the palisade fencing to get to the front gate.
